Mr. Markovic is the Chief Mechanical Engineer of J.M. Bean & Co. Ltd. As of 2013, he has been appointed President, after nearly two decades of dedicated service to the Company.

His innovative approach to mechanical system designs allowed J.M. Bean & Co. to successfully complete Heritage Woods Secondary School in Port Moody, which was the first ever LEED (Silver) Certified new-construction public education facility in BC. The project began in 2001, long before the Province’s mandate for LEED Certification for new public buildings came into effect.

Mr. Markovic’s relentless commitment to quality, sustainable mechanical designs continues to emanate throughout the Company. He has led J.M. Bean & Co. to complete many exceptional educational projects throughout BC.

Professional Experience

A high level of expertise and experience in engineering and design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems (HVAC), as well as plumbing and fire protection systems with emphasis on sustainable building design.

With over 20 years of experience in the mechanical consulting engineering industry, Mr. Markovic has established a vast portfolio of educational, commercial, institutional, industrial and residential design projects, exceeding $100,000,000 in total mechanical construction value.

Prior to joining J.M. Bean & Co., Mr. Markovic was employed as Mechanical Engineer on various European projects involving simulation and design of large-scale Power Plant Heat and Mass transfer devices and Passive Solar Systems.
